James Kitto of Burton (formerly of Davison) age 80 died Sunday November 8, 2015 at Genesys Convalescent Center. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Thursday November 12, 2015 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel Downtown Davison. Rev. Greg Rowe officiating with burial at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors from 3-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in James's memory to the American Diabetes Youth Camp. James was born in Flint, Michigan on December 8, 1934 the son of the late James and Ethel (Jose) Kitto and resided in the Davison area for many years. James was joined in marriage to Georgean "Gean" Coad on September 9, 1955 and she preceded him in death July 8, 2006. Answering the call of his country James served the US Army. He was member of the Flint Masonic Lodge #23 F & AM, Flint Senior Bowling Association, USBC Coach, and formerly served as Vice President of Courtyards of Wildwood Association. James is survived by his children: Steven Kitto, Alan Kitto, Marjann and husband Phil Baade, and Jennifer and husband Buck Thornton; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
