James "Jim" W. Knight

James “Jim” W. Knight of Davison age 69 died Thursday August 28, 2026 at Americana Seniors of Davison. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. No Public services are being held.

Jim was born in Amherst, New York on November 14, 1956 the son of the late Richard and Margaret (Regan) Knight and has resided in Davison area 1999. He was joined in marriage to Mary Katherine Slancik on June 20 1997 and she preceded him in death on June 15, 1997. Jim enjoyed playing golf, watching the New York Buffalo Bills and the Detroit Tigers. In his early years he and his wife enjoyed traveling throughout Michigan.

He is survived by step son Jonathon “Jon” Thurman, and step daughter Jennifer Thurman; grandchildren: Alexandria Knaub, and Isiah House; great grandchild: Malachi Moore; brothers: Richard and wife Joan Knight, and Edward and wife Deb Knight; nephews: Jason Knight, Ben and wife Kristin Knight, and Tom and wife Toni Knight; great nieces and nephews: Julia, Keegan, Calvin, Elliot, Trevor, and Sydeny; special cousin: Joanne Dixon.
