Huyck, James A. Age 73, of Lapeer, Michigan died May 8th, 2016 at his residence. Cremation has already taken place. James was born November 15th 1942 in Flint, the son of the late Clarence Earl and Eva Marie (Couillard) Huyck. He was a veteran of The United States Army 82nd Airborne Division. He married Ellen Marie (Hunter) on January 16th 1965. He was retired from The City of Flint Water Department. During his retirement years he enjoyed many trips with his wife to Las Vegas. He also loved going to watch his son perform in his many bands over the years. He loved the Michigan Wolverines, The Detroit Tigers and The Detroit Lions and spent many weekends watching those teams with his son. He was a dedicated Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend to all that met him. His love and generosity towards others was his greatest gift. He will be remembered as "Neighbor Jim" to his neighbors and best friends Jim and Traci Byers. He was preceded in death by his brother Edward and wife Ellen. Surviving is: son James Huyck, grandchildren Rafael Moreno, Crystal Serrano, and Rosa and Kevin Chard, beloved sister Marie Rodabaugh, and 5 great grandchildren.
