James Harris of Davison age 59 passed away Sunday December 19, 2010 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 11:00 am Wednesday December 22, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 N. Dayton St. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski officiating. Burial at St. John Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 1-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday. A parish rosary will be prayed 7:00pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home, followed by Knights of Columbus Council #11532 memorial service. Jim will lie in state at the church 10:00am Wednesday until time of service. Those desiring may make contribution to Rachael's Education Fund. Jim was born in Flint, Michigan November 12, 1951 the son of the late Thomas and Ada (Pierce) Harris and reside in the Davison area since 2004 and Burton area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Theresa Mays on August 5, 1972. Jim was member of St. John Catholic Church,A 4th degree Knight and charter member of Knights of Columbus Council #11532 , and a member and trustee of Davison Eagle Aerie #3589. He retired in 2004 from John P. O'Sullivan after 29 years of service. He leaves to cherish his memory wife; Theresa, children: Jason and wife Christina Harris, Jeffrey and wife Alexis Harris and Rachael Harris; grandchildren: Zachary, Mia, and, Hailey; sisters: Mary and husband John Sands, Kelly and husband James Brown, Jan Fletcher; and host of other relatives. Jim is preceded in death by sister; Constance Sands.
