James Kurzon Edwin Richards of Burton, age 77, died Thursday June 11, 2020 at Ascension-Genesys. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Monday June 15, 2020 at River of Life Ministries 4216 S. Belsay Rd. Burton, Mich. 48519.  Rev. Steve Turner officiating and cremation will follow. Family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon till 2:00 pm Monday at the Church. Those desiring may make contributions in James's memory to the American Cancer Society.

James was born in Davison, Michigan, on November 9, 1942 the son of the late Kurzon and Edna (Morgan) Richards and resided in the Burton area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Constance Miller on August 10, 1973. James was a member of Mid-Michigan Antique Machinery Association and had been employed by the AC Spark Plug Division of General Motors, retiring in 1996.

Surviving is wife Constance, children: April Richards & Tom Dennett, Jon (Mary) Card, James Richards II, Candace (Scott) Wyckoff, Jennifer (Craig) Peterson, ten grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He also leaves brothers: Richard (Sharon) Richards, John (Mary) Richards, Dennis Richards, David (Cindy) Richards, sister June Haddix & Jim Hatchew, and a host of extended family and friends.
