Diefenbach, James Henry, of Davison age 86 passed away Wednesday Jun 24, 2009 at Hurley Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Monday June 29, 2009 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel Downtown Davison. Rev. Jon Grimshaw officiating. Burial in Ottawa Park Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 1-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home.Those desiring may make contributions in James's memory to the American Cancer Society James was born Stone Fort, Illinois July 2, 1922 the son of the late Louis & Clara (Channey) Diefenbach. James was formerly of Harrisburg, Ill and has resided in the Davison area the last 10 years. James was joined in marriage to Magline Carrier April 4, 1946 and she preceded him in death March 25, 1994. He was employed by General Motors Pontiac Motors Division then retiring in 1976. Surviving are sons: Louis & Patti Diefenbach of Columbiaville, Michael & Sharon Diefenback of Morristown, Tenn. And daughter: Darlene Sumner of Davison, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, sister: Eva Hancock, brothers: Leroy, Bertus, Ed, and Norman and many other relatives. James is preceded in death by twelve brothers & sisters.
