James Robert Burton of West Branch, formerly of Lapeer, age 55, died Monday December 9, 2024 at his residence. Honoring his request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions in Jim's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Jim was born in Flint Michigan on May 4, 1969 the son of Gregory and Cheryl (Provance) Burton and has resided the West Branch area the last twenty-five years, spending his early years in Lapeer. He was joined in marriage to Kimberly Miller on October 16, 1999. Jim had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed Hunting, Fishing and time on the water boating. Jim owned and operated his own Masonry Company.

He leaves his wife Kim, children: Justin Lagness, Ryker Burton, and Kaylee Burton.  He also leaves his parents Greg and Cheryl, siblings: Tony Burton, Bill Burton, Christi Eichorn, Brian Ellis, and a host of extended family and friends. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
