James Mathew Boyce of Davison, age 75, died Thursday June 27, 2019 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday July 2, 2019 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Burial will follow at Davison Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 5:00 – 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.

James was born in Goodrich, Michigan on September 4, 1943 the son of the late Frank & Eleanor (Preston) Boyce and has resided in the Davison area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Patty Sears on November 21, 1975. Answering the call of his country, James proudly served in the US Marine Corps. He had been employed by the US Postal Service as a Mail Carrier.

Surviving is wife Patty, children; Tonya & Thomas Streasick, Matthew Boyce, JoEll Boyce, and Heather & Robert Brantley. He also leaves his loving nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, sisters; Sandra & Jeff Lignitz, Alberta Boyce-Johnson, and sister-in-law Kathy Boyce. Special friend Terry Kerouac Sr., and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by sister Onalee Jane, brothers Edwin and Robert, and granddaughter Paige Marie.
