Jacob Michael Furtaw

Jacob Michael Furtaw of Flint, age 45, died Sunday August 2, 2026 at Hurley Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm Tuesday August 11, 2026 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Family will receive visitor from 2:00 pm Tuesday until time of services at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Jacob’s memory to the family.

Jacob was born in Flint, Michigan on November 15, 1980 the son of John Whitcomb and Crystal Buterakos, and has resided in the Flint area his entire life. Jacob enjoyed the outdoors and time fishing; he also was an avid sports fan with basketball being his favorite sport. Jacob owned and operated Partners in Shine.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving children: Alexis Abulibdeh, Aiden Abulibdeh, and Ayla Abulibdeh. Also surviving is sister Celibeth Furtaw, father John Whitcomb, and the love of his life, and mother of his children Jahmieli Abulibdeh. Jacob also leaves many extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by mother Crystal Buterakus-Furtaw, uncle Gus Buterakus, uncle Daniel Spencer, aunt Karen Wilhelm, aunt and uncle Sharon & Bill Leighty, and best friend Jason Birge.
