Jack Buysse a long time resident of Davison died on Friday, September 11, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday September 18, 2015 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison and the burial will be in the Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday September 17, 2015 at the funeral home.
Jack's life began on June 26, 1933 and he was lovingly adopted by Carl and Magibel (Bricker) Buysse of Lapeer. They named their baby boy Albert Jack Buysse. He spent his childhood at Lake Nepessing even learning to drive on the frozen lake. On June 9, 1956 he married Janice Beebe who preceded him in death in 2012. Jack was proud of his service record in the US Army and considered it a privilege to be a member of the American Legion Post #256 and to be a part of their honor guard. He worked for more than 44 years at the Grand Trunk Western Railroad and was an enthusiast of Davison High School Football.
Members of his family include his 5 children: Rocco (Robin) Buysse of Eaton Rapids, Tony (Michele) Buysse of Ramsey NJ, Carol (Bruce) Bassett of Grayslake IL, Jill (Bob) Wilhelm of Berlin Heights OH, and Joe (Jenny) Buysse of Portage. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
