Iris Marie Weatherwax Brink, of Davison, age 98, died Friday April 20, 2018 at the residence. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday April 26, 2018 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev. BoRin Cho officiating, burial will follow at Davison Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Iris's memory to the Davison Eagles or the charity of your choice. Iris was born in Richfield Township on February 26, 1920 the daughter of the late: F. Clare & Rose (Monroe) Miles and has resided in the Davison area most of her life. She was joined in marriage to Lloyd Weatherwax on December 12, 1937 and he precedes her in death on January 8, 1973. She later married Arthur Brink on July 25, 1984 and he preceded her in death on February 6, 2004. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary #267 for over sixty-two years, the Davison VFW Ladies Auxiliary #4087, a charter member of Davison Eagles #3589 and the Davison United Methodist Church. In her early years she worked with her family at Miles Market, was a cook for Richfield Elementary School in the 1950's and spent over eighteen years at Garrison-Ross Insurance Agency retiring in June 1984. She leaves her children: James & wife Beverly Weatherwax, Jerry & wife Janice Weatherwax, Kay & husband Harry Cotterman, and daughter-in law Linda Weatherwax. Also surviving is her stepchildren: Carol & husband Eddy Yearack, Thomas Brink, nineteen grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren, thirty eight great great grandchildren, one great great  great grandson, her sister-in-law  Millie Burgess and a host of extended family. Iris is preceded in death by son Lloyd Weatherwax in 2014, her grandson Jason Weatherwax and granddaughter Purdance Weatherwax-Nelson her brother Jack Miles, and sisters: Lois Leach, Norma Partlo and Beulah Miles.
