Hazel Mae Starr of Davison age 85 died Thursday October 27, 2022 at her residence. A funeral service will be held Wednesday November 2, 2022 at 11:00am at Hansen Funeral Home Downtown Davison. Rev. Sue Brown officiating with burial at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors Tuesday November 1, 2022 from 3:00-7:00pm here at the funeral home.

Hazel was born in Flint, Michigan on June 18, 1937 the daughter of the late W. John and Olive (Caryl) Engel and resided in the Davison area most of her life. She joined in marriage to Eugene Starr on July 5, 1958 here in Davison at her parents' home.  She was a lifetime member of the Fairwind Girl Scouts Council and she volunteered over 40 years with the Girl Scouts.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years Eugene; daughters: Sherri Starr, and Carol and husband Anthony Tremain; grandchildren: Christopher, Derek (Lauren), Jordan, Joshua (Debbie), Brittany, and Breanna; 13 great grandchildren; brother: John Engel.
