Harold William Toms of Otisville and Davison age 87 relocated to his permanent home where there will be no more pain, no more sorrow, and no more goodbyes on Tuesday March 30, 2010. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday April 3, 2010 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves chapel, Downtown Davison. Pastor Carter Garrigues-Cortelyow officiating.Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm Thursday and 1-4 and 6-8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Harold was born in Flint Michigan January 10, 1923 the son of the late: Clarence and Ruby (Luft) Toms and has resided in the area his entire life. Answering the call of his country Harold served in the US Army during WW II. He was a life time member of Davison VFW Post #4087 and a member of UAW Local #659. Harold was employed by General Motors for forty years retiring in 1983. He leaves to cherish his memory children; Jeremy w. Toms, and Kristol R. and husband David Scofield. Granddaughter: Joyce and husband Brent Streeter, great grandchildren; Michelle and husband Octavio Castano, Andrew and wife Ashleigh Streeter, and Corey Streeter. Great great grandchildren; Austin, Noah, Oriana, Jocelynn and a host of other relatives. Harold will be greeted upon his arrival by his wife Maxine of fifty years in 1999, daughter Nancy Phillips in 1983, granddaughter; Shelly Sholes in 1983 and sisters; Millie Fowler in 1970 and Goldie Teachout in 1997.
