Grant Michael Smith of Davison, age 40, died Friday June 30, 2017 at Hurley Medical Center. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday July 8, 2017 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev. Joshua Gerics officiating. Family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon until time of services on Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions in Grant's memory to the funeral home. Grant was born in Lapeer Michigan on April 2, 1977 the son of Kenneth Smith and Linda Kay Waterman, and has resided in the Lapeer- Davison his entire life. Grant was employed by Masters of Masonry as a Brick Mason. He is survived by mother Linda Kay Smith, sister Kelli (Michael) Beach, brother Perry Smith & Shelly McWhorter. He also leaves daughter Hailey Jane Smith, sons Shayne Michael Smith, Grant Michael Smith Jr. and his niece Cassandra Marie Smith and nephew Kody Michael beach.
