Gordon Arthur Lang of Richfield Township, age 84, died Monday April 11, 2016 at McLaren-Lapeer Regional. A Funeral Liturgy and Life Celebration will be held at 11:00 am Thursday April 14, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski officiating, burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 12:00 – 3:00 and 5:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Lang will lie in state at the church from 10:00 am Thursday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Gordon's memory to Genesee County 4 H. Gordon was born in Davison Michigan on December 6, 1931 the son of the late: Laverne & Rebadell (Traver) Lang and has resided in the Davison area his entire life. He was joined in marriage to Joan M. Madore on August 26, 1950 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Davison. Gordon enjoyed woodworking and building and was a member of the Carpenters Union. His love of land also allowed him to farm for numerous years with his family. He also had been employed by General Motors AC Division until his retirement in 1997. He is survived by his wife of over sixty-five years Joan, his children; Dr. Rita M. Lang, Sheila & Wes Powell, Gordie Lang, and daughter in law Holly Lang. He also leaves his grandchildren; Russell & Chelsea, William Jr. & Megan, Bryan & Jill, Heidi, Halicia, Brad & Carrie, Jamie & Drew, Jesse & Brittany, sixteen great grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
