Glenn David Wood of Saginaw, formerly of Flint, age 72, died Thursday February 23, 2017 at Covenant-Cooper Health System. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday March 1, 2017 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev. Sarah Larose-Nettell officiating, Burial to follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 4-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Glenn's memory to the family.  Glenn was born in Flint, Michigan on August 18, 1944 the son of the late Glen & Vera (Gifford) Wood and had resided in Flint area most of his life. Answering the call of his country Glenn served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of VFW Post 4087, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Glenn had been employed by General Motors Metal Fabrication Division for 33.8 years. He is survived by children: Nancy (Ron) Boggs, Glenn Wood II, and Salina Wood. He also leaves his wife Ivah Jean, stepchildren: Kenneth (Tammy) Taylor, Helena (Benny) Dotson, and many grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Also surviving is his siblings:  Sharon Kelley, Doug Wood, Gerald Wood, and a host of other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by the mother of his children Sharon, sisters Patricia, Lois, Eleanor,  and brothers; Holley, Bill, and Bud. Share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
