Gerald Wayne Stanke Sr. of Columbiaville, age 77, died Thursday June 21, 2018 at his residence. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place A gathering time of family and friends will be held from 11:00 am – 8:00 pm Wednesday June 27, 2018 at Hansen Funeral home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Those desiring may make contributions in Gerald's memory to St. Jude's Children Hospital, or the family.

Gerald was born in Flint Michigan on June 12, 1941 the son of the late Herman & Tilly (Hafner) Stanke and has resided in the Columbiaville area since 1973. He was joined in marriage to Caroline Gragg on May 11, 1959. He had been employed by Central Grocery Company retiring in 1984.

He leaves his wife of fifty-nine years Caroline, children: Gerald Stanke Jr, Kimberly Fletcher, Cynthia Stanke, Jeremy Stanke, and adopted son Ron Lloyd. He also leaves his loving five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, sisters; Betty Byers, Barbara Medina and a host of extended family.
