Gerald "Jerry" Leslie Thompson formerly of Grand Blanc, age 80, has gone onto Heaven on Tuesday February 16, 2016 . Memorial services will be held at Riverside Tabernacle 429 Northbound Chavez Dr. Flint, on Saturday June 18, 2016 at 3:00 pm. Jerry was born in Flint, Michigan on September 17, 1935 the son of the late, Rev. Leslie & Geraldine (Jennings) Thompson. He was joined in marriage to Janis E. Coon on September 28, 1957 at Riverside Tabernacle Church in Flint. Jerry was a loving and caring family man and will be missed by all. He enjoyed his music and sing for the Lord was his ministry and heart's desire as well as playing the saxophone. He leaves to cherish his memory wife Janis, sons; Mark & Edie Thompson, Matthew & Michelle Thompson, and daughter Melinda & Denny Thybault. He also leaves his loving grandchildren: Aimee, Jenna, Marc, Garrett, Megan, Tommy, Jacob, and David, Brittan, Landri, Jack, Loran, Chaya, Ayla, and twelve great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews. His brother James & Ruth Thompson, sister Bonnie Jo & Gary Billcheck, sister-in law & brother-in-law: Lois and Lance Garrett.
