Gary Lee Tessmer of Davison, age 72, went home in glory on February 8, 2021, at home surrounded by his loved ones. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 pm Monday April 26, 2021 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd. Holly Michigan with Rev. Chris Radcliffe officiating. Those desiring may make contributions in Gary's memory to the family or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Gary was born in Alpena Michigan on April 26, 1948 the son of Arthur and Phyllis (Brousseau) Tessmer and has resided in the Davison area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Debra Adkins on October 19, 1971. Answering the call of his country Gary proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War as a radio repairman. He is a Graduate of Davison High School Class of 1966. He was a hard working man who did auto body collision work his entire life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing pool, and camping. Gary's life revolved around serving the Lord and others. He was always filled with so much joy when serving.

Gary is survived by his wife of Debra, sons: Mark (Kristy Gonzales)Tessmer, Robert Tessmer: four grandchildren, Cheyenne Tessmer, Breeanna (Dustin) Spivey, Haley Tessmer, Jazilyn Tessmer, and his three great grandchildren Luella, Leelynn, and Piper Spivey.
