Fredrick Ivan Hart of Lapeer, age 83, died Thursday March 30, 2017 at Marlette Hospice. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday April 4, 2017 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev. Sarah Larose-Nettell officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 4-7 pm Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Fred's memory to Marlette Hospice or the Charity of your Choice.  Fred was born in Flint Michigan on October 2, 1933 the son of the late: Ivan & Nettie (Krieger) Hart and has resided in the Flint and Lapeer area his entire life. He was joined in marriage to his beautiful bride Ruth Ann Willoughby in 1968 and she precedes him in death March 20, 2017. Honoring his country Fred served in the US Army assigned to the 3 ^rd Tank Command in Germany during the Korean War. Fred "Freddie' graduated from Flint Technical High School where he was a cheerleader.  He then was employed by AC Spark Plug as an apprentice Tool & Die Maker; he continued his trade in several Tool & Die Shops in the Flint area until his retirement.  "Freddie" was an excellent roller skater, and he loved helping young kids learn to skate, He was also talented in learning other languages, and enjoyed greeting and surprising people in their own language. He enjoyed photography, and working with flowers, especially working with lilies, and pollinating some new varieties.  Surviving is his sister June (Delbert) White, nephews and nieces; Dennis (Joanne) White, Steve (Sherry) White, Brenda (Steve) Lautz, Lori (Dan) Celmer, and Bob Hart. He also leaves step-son William "Wil" Willoughby and Sherri, step-daughter Julie (Doug) Sproule, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, daughter-in-law Renate Willoughby, and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his sister Dorrine Hart, and brother Gerald (Nora) Hart and nephew Chuck Hart. Share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
