Fred Daveson Meeks of Flint, age 66, died Tuesday August 17, 2021 at his residence. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. No public visitation or services are being held. Those desiring may make contributions in Fred's memory to the Wounded Warriors.

Fred was born in York South Carolina on March 6, 1955 the son of the late Lawson & Florrie (Moore) Meek and has resided in the Flint and Mt. Morris area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Heather Stedry on July 24, 1982. Fred attended Mt. Morris Schools and proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of VFW Post #8236, and had been employed by General Motors, AC-Delphi division until his retirement in 2007.

Surviving is wife Heather, his children; Anthony (Karen) Stedry, and Yvonne (jimmy) Scanlon. He also leaves his grandchildren: Chelsea, Tyler, Tia, and DJ.
