Franklin D. "Skip" Currier of Davison age 79 died Monday August 8, 2016 at Hurley Medical Center. A funeral service will be held 11:30am Friday August 12, 2016 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel Downtown Davison. Mr. Robert Irrer officiating with burial at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors from 3-8pm Thursday August 11, 2016 at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Franklin's memory to the charity of your choice. Franklin was born in Millington, Michigan on December 22, 1936 the son of the late Claude and Hattie Currier and has resided in the Davison area since 1968. He was joined in marriage to Doris Heath and she preceded him in death January 10, 1994. Franklin was member of Davison Eagles #3589 and Davison VFW 4087. Franklin was employed by General Motor Chevrolet Tool & Die Division until his retirement in 1992. He is survived by children: Michelle and husband Steve Lemont, Shawn and wife Susan Currier, and Brett Currier; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; brother: Leo Currier; sisters: Marie and husband Jay Stocker, and Joyce Persails; and host of extended family and friends.
