Francisco Lafuente of Burton age 93, died Monday February 28, 2022 at his residence. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. Private burial on the family plot in Davison Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Francisco was born in Comstock Texas on July 3, 1928 the son of the late Octaviano & Conception (Flores) Lafuente and has resided in the Burton area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Enriqueta Castillo on March 30, 1953 and she preceded him in death on December 25, 2017. Honoring his country Francisco proudly served in the US Marine Corp during WW II. He is a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and had been employed by General Motors Buick Division until his retirement in 1987.

Surviving are sons: Roberto Lafuente, and Edmundo and wife Stephanie Lafuente. He also leaves his loving four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers:  Xavier Lafuente, Joel (Shannon) Lafuente, and sisters: Juanita Hamakami, and Anita (John) Newsted. He is preceded in death by his brother Herbieto, and Tano.
