Francis "Curly" Theodore Quillen, of Davison, age 90 died Monday September 26, 2016 at Hyde Park Assisted Living in Flushing. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Monday October 3, 2016, at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski will officiate. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Family will receive visitors from 11:00 am Monday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions to Heart to Heart Hospice or Baruch Senior Ministries. Francis was born in Flint Michigan on April 22, 1926 the son of the late Frank & Cecilia (Jacobs) Quillen, and had resided in the Davison area since 1939. He was joined in marriage to Lucille Jakowczyk on October 18, 1952 and she preceded him in death on August 5, 2014. Answering the call of his country, Francis served in the US Navy during WW II. He was an avid Trap Shooter and had competed in numerous State and National Championship for many years.
