Frances May Smith of Lapeer & Davison, age 82, died Thursday June 18, 2020 at Vicinia Gardens, Fenton. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. Private burial will be on the family plot in Pinegrove Cemetery,

Frances was born in Akron Michigan on June 7, 1938 the daughter of the late Stanley & Tressie (Hetherington) Maciag and has resided in the Lapeer- Davison area most of her life. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Lapeer. Frances was an avid bowler for many years. She had been employed by General Motors Pontiac Motor Division until retiring in 1988.

Surviving are children: Marvin (Jessica) Bailey, Robert Smith, Susan (Brian) Sawagle, and several grandchildren. Also she leaves her siblings: Mary (Freeman) Saumier, Lillian Sheets, Marie Bidwell, Stanley George (Nita) Maciag, William (Norma) Maciag, and a host of extended family.
