Obituary

Eveline Joyce "Evie" Branan of Davison age 82, died Saturday August 13, 2016 at Willowbrook Manor, Flint. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends be held on Sunday August 28, 2016 from 2 -4 pm at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Evie's memory to the family. Evie was born in West Branch Michigan on December 23, 1933 the daughter of the late Edward & Dorothy (Thomas) Pettit, and has resided in the Davison area most of her life. Evie was an avid sports enthusiast enjoying baseball, football and especially NASCAR, and was a true supporter of NASCAR Driver Martin Truex Jr. She loved to dance and her favorite musician was Bob Seger and was his guest and treated to one of his concerts in spring 2013. She enjoyed in her earlier years travels to Northern Michigan and mushroom hunting. She was known for her great collection of frogs, and spent time as an "Avon Lady". She had been employed by Meijer's for numerous years at Burton's Center Rd. Store and in Lapeer until retiring in 2003. She also was employed at the Missing Sock Laundry until her health would not allow her to work. She is survived by daughter Anita & Dennis Wagner, grandchildren; William Jackson, Sarah Wagner and great grandson Hunter Jackson. She also leaves her sister Edwina "Edie" McKay-Coleman, and a host of other relatives. She is preceded in death by sisters; Elaine Caverly, Alberta Pettit, and brothers; Arlan Pettit, Alvin Pettit, and Alton Pettit. Share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhom.net
