Ethel Marie Burks of Flint age 58, died Friday March 11, 2022 at her residence. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday March 16, 2022 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev. Mary Kay Millenbach officiating. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial park. Family will receive visitors from 3-6pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ethel was born in Flint Michigan on November 15, 1963 the daughter of the late Alfred & Marie (Kilburn) Wilson and had resided in the Flint area her entire life. She was joined in marriage to Benny Burks on February 12, 1983 in Flint Michigan. She was family lady who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to watch a good movie on TV and was an avid Spartan Football fan.  Ethel had been employed by Meijer's Store for over twenty-seven years.

Surviving is husband Benny, her children; Tabitha (Sean) Metcalf, Billy (Kelly) Burks, Kenny Burks, and Benny (Kelsey) Burks. She also leaves her loving grandchildren: Keegan Metcalfe, Andrew Burks, Haley Burks, Lillee Burks, Lexee Burks, Emarie Burks, Estella Burks, Wyatt Burks, and Kamilah Metcalfe.  Surviving also are her sisters: Geraldine Wilson, Karen Silvers, Brenda Rainey and a host of extended family and friends.
