TAECKENS, Esther Ruth of Davison age 86 died Friday June 19, 2009 at Willowbrook Manor. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon Monday June 22, 2009 at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Fr Andrew Czajkowski officiating. Esther was born in Alma, Michigan February 26, 1923 the daughter of the late Albert & Elsie (Schroder) Stillwagon and has resided in the Flint-Davison area most of her life. She was joined in marriage to Robert Taeckens in 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1969.Esther was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Davison, and had been employed by Genesee County Sheriff Department as a Correction Officer for over twenty years retiring in 1985. Surviving are daughters; Susan & husband Eugene Seneski of Cheboygan, Joan Taeckens of Flint, sister; Helen Notman of Flushing and hundreds of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by son; William Robert Taeckens in 1949, brother Arthur Stillwagan, and sister; Alberta Stillwagan.
