Elsie Meredith of Flint, age 96, died Tuesday April 17, 2018 at Masonic Pathways, Alma. A funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm Sunday April 22, 2018 at Hansen Funeral Home, Groves Chapel Downtown Davison. Rev Chris McNeilly officiating. Private burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm Sunday until time of services at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Elsie's memory to Masonic Pathways. Elsie was born in Copenhagen Denmark on March 16, 1922 the daughter of the late: John Walter & Gerda (Boye) Lagerquist, and had resided in the Flint area her entire life.  She was joined in marriage to Arnold Meredith on April 4, 1942 and he precedes her in death in August of 2004. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Elsie had a love for music and was an avid Ballet Dancer. She had owned and operated Elsie Meredith School of Dance for over forty years and also owned and operated with her husband Meredith Carpets until their retirement. She leaves to cherish her memory daughter Bonnie & husband Bob Walls, sons Richard & wife Carol Meredith, and William Meredith. She also leaves her grandchildren: Bobby & wife Kristin Walls, Katie Walls, Casey & wife Cassandra Meredith, Andrew & wife Jacqueline Meredith, Charles Meredith, Paige Meredith, Samuel Kerwin, and great grandson William Meredith.
