Cassady, Ella Jean of Davison age 80 passed away Sunday June 28, 2009 at Select Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Wednesday July 8, 2009 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel Downtown Davison. Private burial at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors from 4-6 pm Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contribution in Ella Jean's memory to St. Jude's Children Hospital. Ella was born in Rector Arkansas on January 20, 1929 the daughter of the late Lou Belle (Thorton) Stafford and has resided in Kearsley and Davison area most of her life. She was member of the Flint Board of Realtors, owned and operated Cassady Farmer Bureau Insurance Company. Ella was world traveler going to China twice and visiting all 50 states in the United States and she was member Davison Methodist Church. Surviving are children: Daniel and Nelda Cassady, Timothy Cassady, and Mary and Robert Batoha; grandchildren: Jeremy, Nicole, Bobbie, Jody, Josh, Erik, and Brett and 11 great grandchildren; sister: Ruby Stewart, brother: Bob Stafford, and many other relatives and special friends including Gene Selley.
