Elizabeth "Betty" Rutkowski of Davison age 87 died Thursday April 22, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday April 28, 2010 at 10:30am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski officiating. Burial in St. John Cemetery. Family will visitors 6-8pm Monday and 2-4 and 6-8pm Tuesday at the Funeral Home. A Parish Rosary service will be held at 7:00pm Tuesday evening by the Daughters of Isabella. Betty will lie in state 9:30am Wednesday at the church until time of services. Those desiring may make contribution to St. John Church, America Heart Association or American Diabetes Association. Betty was born on January 27, 1923 in Sheffield, PA. the daughter of the late George and Veronica (Babinchak) Ondo. She was joined in marriage to Leo F. Rutkowski on April 19, 1947 at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church and he preceded her in death July 22, 2000. Betty was member of St. John Catholic Church, Daughter of Isabella, and Greek Catholic Union. Surviving are children: Gary Rutkowski of Brown City, MI., Kathy (Dan) Forrest of Skandia, MI.,and Susan Rutkowski of Davison, MI.; grandchildren: Scott Forrest, Danelle (John) Juntila, Jamie Forrest, Jeffrey Rutkowski, Jennifer Rutkowski, and Brian Rutkowski, and great grandchildren: Casey and Evan Juntila; brother John Ondo of Miss. Sister-in-law Lottie Ondo of Flushing, and step sister Ann Danchisan of FL. She is preceded in death by sisters: Ann Sprygada and Mary Moore; brother: George Ondo Jr.
