Eleanor Rose Newton of Columbiaville, age 71, died Monday June 1, 2020. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Saturday June 6, 2020 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 6340 Roberta St. Burton. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon till 6:00 pm Friday at Hansen Funeral Home, Downtown Davison. Due to CDC Guidelines of social distancing and limited gathering at one time, the family understands those who may or may not want to join them and they respect their decisions. Those desiring may make contributions in Eleanor's memory to the charity of your choice.

Eleanor was born in Flint Michigan on October 5, 1948 the daughter of the late: Joseph & Margaret (Vedrody) Wizynajtys of Burton, and has resided in the Columbiaville area the last forty-nine years. She was joined in marriage to Leslie "Butch" Newton on September 13, 1969. She was a member of the St John – Blessed Sacrament Catholic Community and was an avid Bingo player at St. John Church for many years. Eleanor with her husband enjoyed dancing and were members of the Square Stomper Dancing Group. Family was very important to her especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed attending many of their activities, and spending time with family.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of fifty years Leslie "Butch", her children; Marie Emert, and Randy (Chris) Newton; her grandchildren Dagan, Kanen, Stephanie and great grandson Lane. She also leaves her siblings; Joseph (Mary) Wizynajtys, Paul (David Barber) Wizynajtys sister-in-law Irene Wizynajtys; lifelong friend Donna, and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Martin Wizynajtys, and David Wizynajtys.
