Edward July of Davison age 88 passed away Wednesday December 23, 2009 at Hurley Medical Center, surrounded by his family. Honoring Edward wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial services will be held at a later date. Ed was born September 12, 1921 in Flint, Michigan the son of the late Anthony and Katherine (Ploch) July. After graduating from Otisville High School, he attended Coyne Electrical School in Chicago. He married Jean Westover on June 28, 1944. He worked at McDonald Dairy for 10 years, then at Ternstedt, where he retired in 1979 as an electrician foreman. He loved being outdoors, farming, hunting, fishing and cutting wood. He also was a woodworker and a winemaker. In later years he enjoyed watching birds and the Detroit Tigers. Ed is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean; daughters: Marsha (Gary) Erickson, Carol Morgan and fiancé Mike Senn, and Rita (Tim) Mrozowski; son Jim (Dorrie) July; grandchildren: Troy, Amie, Marty, Nick, Kristen, Kelly, Nancy, and Jeremiah; great grandchildren: Adam, Tony, Nick, Regan, Kady, Kaitlyn, Brody, and Abby; sisters: Sylvia Niec, Edna Schroeder, and Alice Saxon; brother: Alec (Sharon) July. He was preceded in death by sisters: Josephine July, Helen Kowalski, and Anna Young; brother: Frank July. A special thanks to Nathania, Elbert, Wendy, and Tammy for their TLC.
