Edward Atwell of Alger (formally of Davison) age 74 died Sunday April 16, 2017 at McLaren Bay Regional Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday April 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. John Catholic Church 404 N. Dayton St. Davison, MI 48423 Fr. Andrew Czajkowski officiating with Rite of Committal at St. John Cemetery. Family gathering will be held at the church from 10:00 am Friday until time of service. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. Edward was born in Flint, MI December 7, 1942 the son of the late Lewis and Evelyn (Belill) Atwell and resided in the Flint and Davison area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Louise Stevenson –Halloran July 2, 1999 at St. John Catholic Church of Davison. Edward was employed by General Motors AC Spark Plug before his retirement. Ed volunteered at Outreach East, and the Christian Services Food Pantry of Standish Michigan. Ed was member of St. John Rosary Club and sang in the choir at St. Joseph Church of Alger. He was avid hunter and love going to the horse racers. He leaves to cherish his memory wife: Louise; daughter: Jodi Caldwell; son: Jeffrey Atwell; stepchildren: Gina, Sam, and Mike; stepson: Joseph; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sisters: Rita Valley and Karen and husband Ray Zbiciak.
