Duane Edward Rose of Genesee Township, age 79, died Wednesday November 8, 2017 at Heartland Health Care Center. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held March 31, 2018. Inurnment will be at Flint Memorial Park. Those desiring may make contributions in Duane's memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation.

Duane was born in Flint Michigan on December 23, 1937 the son of the late: Mirlyn & Opal (Peterson) Rose, and has resided in the area his entire life. He was joined in marriage to Nancy Ann Noyce on April 22, 1974 in Grand Blanc, Michigan and she preceded him in death on December 13, 2013. Duane was an avid hunter, fisherman and had a true love for the outdoors. He was a member of the Vassar Nazarene Church and had been employed by General Motors Fisher Body Division until his retirement.

He leaves his children: Christine (Dale) Simons, Michael (Gina) Rose, Dawn (Tim) Poore, and grand daughter Jessica Simons. He also leaves his sister Jean ((Guy) Parks.
