Douglas Alan Messenger

Douglas Alan Messenger of Davison, age 45 died Thursday June 11, 2026 at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. A funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday June 18, 2026 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison, with Rev. Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Cremation will follow at Memorial Fields Crematory. Family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Doug’s memory to the family.

Doug was born in Flint Michigan on April 27, 1981 the son of Alan and Leslie (Adams) Messenger. Doug has resided in Davison and the Genesee County area most of his life. His greatest love was the open the open roads on his motorcycle. He loved music, and was great working with his hands, especially wrenching on muscle cars that he enjoyed. Doug spent his career in the Building Trades.

He is survived by father Alan Messenger. His siblings: Joseph Michell, Mike Michell, Keith (Jordan) Messenger, Bill Messenger, and Kelly Messenger. He also leaves special niece Patrionna, and a host of extended family and friends. Doug is preceded in death by his mother Leslie Kay Messenger in 2019.
