Doris Erma (Thwing) Pearce of Davison, age 87, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 16, 2014 after a tough fight at home with mesothelioma. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 am Friday July 18, 2014 at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Those desiring may make contributions in her memory to the Ortonville United Methodist Church. Doris was born in Flint Michigan on June 16, 1927 the daughter of Milton & Lucy (Kapten) Thwing, and had resided in the Davison area most of her life. She was joined in marriage to William Pearce and he preceded her in death December 2001. She was a member of VFW Post Auxiliary 4087 and had been active in the Eastern Stars for many years. Doris enjoyed her short time at Abbey Park and made a lot of good friends before returning to her daughter's home with the help of hospice. Doris adored her daughters, and was the BEST wife, mom and grandma ever. She leaves to cherish her memory daughter Suzanne Pearce Rockwell and husband James of Linden. Grandchildren: Matthew and Bethany Booker, Emily White, Andrew Davis, Evan Davis, and Kyle Davis. Also her great grandchildren: Paityn, Madisyn, Garett, Bryce, Selena, Hannah, Jillian, Olivia, and Aiden. She is preceded in death by daughter Marsh Pearce Davis on March 1, 2014.
