Donna Mae Ruby of Davison age 85 died Tuesday July 12, 2011 at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday July 15, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church 5811 Forest Ave, Otter Lake, Michigan with Rev. Sarah Parks and Rev. Ann Norton officiating. Private burial in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Donna will lie in state at the church from 10:00 am Friday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions to A One Hospice. Donna was born in Flint Michigan December 23, 1925 the daughter of the late; Charles & Charlotte (Stevens) Chapman, spending most of her life in the Columbiaville area and Davison since 1980. She was joined in marriage to Lloyd Ruby and he preceded her in death February 12, 1978. She was a member of Davison American Legion Aux. #267 for over forty-years, and had been employed by General Motors AC Spark Plug Division for thirty years retiring in 1973. She will be lovingly remembered by daughters; Sherry and husband Robert Walker, and Diana Franks. Grandchildren, Todd and wife Mandy Walker, Tasha Franks, and Trevor Franks, great grandchildren; Sydney and Seth Walker, Sister, Mary Lou Ostrander, brother in laws; Elvin Ruby and Bernard Ruby. She is preceded in death by brothers; Robert, William, and Clifton.
