Donald Kenneth Sampson of Montrose age 79 died Friday January 1, 2010 at his residence.Honoring Don's wishes cremation has taken place with private burial in Montrose Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 4:00 pm Wednesday January 6, 2010 at Montrose United Methodist Church 158 E. State Downtown Montrose. Pastor Wayne C. Ferrigan officiating. Family will recieve visitors from 3:00 p.m. Wednesday until time of services at the church. Contributions in Don's memory may be made to the Montrose United Methodist Church.Donald was born in Afton Michigan April 14, 1930 the son of George & Ruth (Randall) Sampson and has resided in the Montrose area most of his life. He was joned in marriage to Juanti Bell Cole January 19, 1952 spending 53 yrs of marriage together before she preceded him in death April 1, 2005. Don was employed as a brick mason until his retirement.Surviving are chidren; Donita Kirk, Donald Sampson, Connie & husband David Yeaster. Grandchildren: Vicki, Donald, Jeff, Angie, Greg, & Juanita. Six grandchildren. Brother Floyd & wife Joyce Sampson, and a host of other realtives.
