Don was born in Croswell Michigan on February 22, 1929 the son of the late Robert and Edna (Dawson) Parker and had resided in Croswell for many years, relocating to Davison in 1969. He was joined in marriage to Doris L. Jackson on November 20, 1954 in Croswell and she preceded him in death on May 4, 2014. Answering the call of his Country, Don proudly served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean War. Don was a true survivor having beaten the odds of Polio and allowed him to have a full and happy life. He loved to travel and enjoyed collecting patriotic eagles. His greatest passion was spending time with family and friends. Donald lived by three important guidelines in life: First was education was important to succeed, treat everyone you meet with honor and integrity, and open door policies to those he meet. Donald spent his career of over forty-three years on the Railroad retiring from CSX Railroad in May of 1990.
Don leaves to cherish his memory; son Paul (Darleen) Parker, and daughter Patti Kulhanek. He also leaves his loving six grandchildren, ten great grand children, five great great grandchildren, and host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by brother, James Parker, and sister Beverly Clark.
