Donald Edward Lindsay of Davison age 72 died Tuesday November 17, 2015 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Saturday November 21, 2015 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel Downtown Davison. Chaplin Joe Masson officiating, Burial with military honors at Davison Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday and Friday at the funeral home. VFW memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Don's memory to the family. Donald was born in Goodrich, Michigan on November 14, 1943 the son of the late Raymond & Emma (Moser) Lindsay and resided in the Davison area his entire life. He was joined in marriage to Roxann J. Pion on May 17, 1993. Answering the call of his country Donald served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Donald was life member of Davison VFW Post 4087, Davison Eagles 3589, and Donald served his community for many years on the Davison Area Fire Department. He was employed by Dolly Madison and Aunt Millie's as a truck driver until his retirement. Surviving are wife: Roxann; Children: Sheri Moffit, Melissa (Brian) Guay, Paula (Mike) Mertz, and Larry (Ponch) Pion; grandchildren: Crystal Doyle, Justin Bates, Wyatt Moffit, Rhylee Wilkerson, Brianna Guay, Emma Guay, Kenneth Guay, Robert Stocks, Amanda Stocks, Zachary Pion, Rachael Pion, Remington Pion, Kelsey Mowen, Kaitlyn Mowen, Daryl Mowen, Austin Bair, and McKenzie Bair; great grandchildren: Ashlynn Ryan, Joel Bates, Cecilla Bates, Eliott Bates, and Boden Head; brother: Jack (Rose) Lindsay, brother-in-law Don Bemis, and special friends: Anita Pion, Alicia Remick, Tammey and Tracey Green, and Lisa Gardner.
