Dolores Edith DoorenBos, age 87, of Genesee Township, died Thursday January 5, 2017 at Genesee Care Center, Grand Blanc. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday January 7, 2017, at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Pastor Dr. Gary Beck, officiating, burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors from 4:00 – 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Dolores's memory to the Michigan Heart Association. Dolores was born in Montrose Michigan on April 10, 1929, the daughter of the late Frederick & Alice (Frye) Green and has resided in the Flint area most of her life. She was joined in marriage to Kenneth DoorenBos and he preceded her in death June 9, 2004. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Surviving is daughter Marie Mannor and husband Greg, stepson, John DoorenBos and wife Margaret. She also leaves her grandchildren: Hannah Mannor, Brooke Mannor, Johnathon DoorenBos, Joven Moreno, and Tiffany Beath,, great grandchildren Sophia, and Lillian. She also leaves a sister Anna DeLisle, and many loving neighbors. She is preceded in death by son, Frederick Jeffries, her brother Chuck and sisters, Vivian, Carolyn, and Gloria.
