Dawn Marie Scott, of Flint, age 55, died Thursday December 4, 2025 at her residence. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life is planned for Sunday, July 26th, 2026. The location will be announced at a later date. The family has asked for her memory to be honored by making donations to or volunteering with the Huntington's disease Society of America, Michigan Chapter www.michigan.hdsa.org.

Dawn was born on October 9, 1970 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of the late James and Louise (Alward) Scott and has resided in the Flint area most of her life. Dawn enjoyed deep friendships with her many relatives and friends. Playing card games, listening to music, and most importantly laughing with the people she loved were the simple joys that helped her weather the struggles that made her strong of heart. There was never a dull moment around her and the world is filled moments in which she created simple and unforgettable fun.

She found her greatest joy in her children and grand children, of whom she was fiercely protective of, loved deeply, and left a legacy of life advice and insights.

She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her partner of 26 years Bernard "BJ" Stewart; her children: Kassandra "Kass" Sebrant (Jermaine Burt), Bryana Stewart, and Anthony Stewart (Andin); grandchildren: Jermaine II, Jacobi, Ameiyah, Ja'Mari, Kaylee, and Kaila; brother and sister in law: James and Deborah Scott; neices and nephews: Ever (Barrett), Adam and Christopher; special friends: "Uncle" Johnny and "Aunt" Stephanie Griffin, and a host extended family and friends.
