David Bruce Gates of Davison, age 75, died Sunday April 30, 2023 at his residence. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. No public services are being held. Those desiring may make contributions in David's memory to Davison FOE 3589.

David was born in Flint Michigan on August 15, 1947 the son of the late Richard and Betty Ann (Gocha) Gates and had resided in the Davison area his entire life. He was joined in marriage to Lois Coon on December 7, 1968. David enjoyed the outdoors spending time both hunting and fishing. He loved coaching the Detroit Tigers from the safety of his home while yelling at their abilities. David was a graduate of Davison High School and a member of Davison FOE #3589. Dave had been employed by General Motors Buick Division with over thirty years of service.

Surviving is wife Lois, his children; Kenneth and wife Shirl Gates, and Laurie and husband John Ihrke. He also leaves his loving five grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
