IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dave Lynn
Graves
December 4, 1968 – February 2, 2022
G raves, D ave, age 53 left this world far too soon on February 2, 2022.
Dave was born in Flint December 4, 1968, the son of (late) Charles & Marion (Burkitt) Graves, and the youngest brother to (late) Don & Bob Graves. From his childhood to his most recent days, Dave's giving heart touched so many lives and was also considered "brother" too many.
In high school, Flint Central, he met his sweetheart, Debbra Ann Smeja that he later married on December 11, 1993, who he loved and cherished ever since. In her eyes he was the strongest man and warrior on earth doing so through decades of tragedy, illness and pain and contributing to their loving partnership to a level far beyond most.
Dave could be remembered as a Master Tinkerer who knew him. He could fix or make anything around the house, along with woodworking, welding, or metal fabricating. He had a unique ability to begin creating something practical then turn it into something extraordinarily special and/or creative.
Additionally, he was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting or just being outside in the yard, garden (Yes, with flamethrower), bon fires, smoking meats (through wee hours of night) or Air gun range/target shooting. He was a muscle car enthusiast, especially enjoying his '66 Impala SS (aka His Mistress), car cruises and was a member of Flint Gear Grinders.
He leaves to cherish his memory, some remarkably close, loved, dear ones that were considered "brothers or sisters," four beloved nieces, nephew, thirteen great-nieces & nephews, our sweet god-daughter, his five precious fur-babies, a host of many dear friends, kind and generous neighbors, some wonderful McLaren Flint Hospital, Home, & Bay Region Wound nurses he was privileged to have, and his wife, the love of his life for thirty-five years.
Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A "Davey style" memorial, including a muscle car lead presession, will be held in the (warmer) near future. Invitations will be sent via cell.
Those desiring may make contributions in Dave's memory to the family.
