Darlene Rose Ross

Darlene Rose (Farr) Ross of Otisville age 83, died April 16, 2026, at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Gathering of family and friends will be held from 12 noon till 3:00 pm Saturday April 25, 2026 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison, with a 3:00 pm Celebration of Life. Rev. Sarah LaRose-Nettell, Celebrant. Private inurnment in Smith-Hill Cemetery will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions in Darlene’s memory to Wounded Warrior Foundation.

Darlene was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 2, 1942 the daughter of the late Edward and Rosina (Nalett) Farr and had resided in Otisville most of her life, spending the last twelve years in Lapeer. Darlene always enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, and spending her quite time reading and crocheting. She had a great passion for animals, and especially her loving cats that she adorned. Darlene had worked as nurse for McLaren-Lapeer Regional Hospital until her retirement in 2001, and especially enjoyed her time in home care during her career.

Darlene leaves to cherish her memory children: Kim and husband Lloyd Stevens, Alan and wife Lisa Winkel, Tamera and husband Dennis Tank, and Deanna Comstock. She is also survived by her thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends. Darlene is preceded in death by her grandson Tyler, step-father Lawrence and siblings: Shirley, Linda, Dorothy, Lois, Virginia, Francis, and Earl.
