Danna A. Carpenter of Davison, age 79, died Sunday February 24, 2019 at the residence. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday March 1, 2019 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev. Eddie Phillips officiating, burial will follow in Meadowview Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 4-7 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Danna was born in Saginaw Michigan on May 19, 1939 the daughter of the late Guy & Betty (Forrest) Richey and had resided in the area most of her life. She was joined in marriage to Blanchard "Bud" Carpenter in Taymouth Township on February 17, 1962 and he preceded her in death on March 14, 2013. She had been employed as a Teacher for Bentley Community Schools until her retirement in 2001.

Surviving are sons: Mark Carpenter, Michael (Nila) Carpenter, grandson Daniel (Alana) Carpenter, and granddaughter Courtney Carpenter. She also leaves sisters; G. Fredi Miller, Patti Palmer, and a host of extended family and friends. Danna is preceded in death by son Matthew Boyd Carpenter in 1966, sister Crystal Medearis, brother Robbie Forrest, and brother-in-laws: Rick Palmer, and Gerald Miller.
