Daniel Gus Peake of Burton, age 74, died Monday June 20, 2022 at McLaren-Flint Hospital. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. Military graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm Tuesday July 5, 2022 at Great Lakes National Cemetery.

Daniel was born in Battle Creek Michigan on December 17, 1947 the son of the late Augusta & Doris (Coyne) Peake and has resided in the Burton area since 1972. He was married to April Carter on October 6, 1979. Answering the call of his country Daniel proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Daniel had been employed by General Motors Buick Division until his retirement in 1999.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of over forty-three year April, son Ryan Peake, and daughter Robin Peake. He also leaves his loving seven grandchildren, sisters: Laurie "Ruth" Keckler, Amy Laurimore, and a host of extended family and friends.
