Dallas M. Branham of Davison, age 86, died Friday September 12, 2014 at Regency of Grand Blanc. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday September 15, 2014 at First Baptist Church 208 W. Fourth St. Davison. Pastor Chris Radcliffe officiating. Private inurnment of Dallas and wife Janet will be held at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Families will receive visitors from 6-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Branham will lie in state at the church from 10:00 am Monday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Dallas's memory to First Baptist Church, Heartland Hospice or Regency of Grand Blanc. Mr. Branham was born in Bristol Virginia on July 23, 1928 the son of Nicodemus & Vesta (Mitchell) Branham, and had resided in the Davison area since 1972. He was joined in marriage to Janet Austin on November 4, 1954 in Virginia, and she preceded him in death on August 13, 2014. Answering the call of his country Dallas served in the US Army. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Davison. Dallas was a simple man who loved and adorned his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also spent and enjoyed his time in Arizona with his loving wife Janet of 59 years of marriage. He had been employed by General Motors V-8 Engine Plant for thirty years retiring in 1991. He leaves to cherish his memory daughters: Sherry Howard, Sandra & husband Jack Smyth, Sheila Branham, and Sylvia & husband Ronald Odom. Also his grandchildren: Sarah (Garan), Michael (Janet) Kristina, Erin, Kim (Andy) Jennifer (David) Karen (Dan), Ronnie (Paula) and eleven great grandchildren.
