Craig Edward Mechura, age 58 of Davison, lost his five-year battle with cholangiocarcinoma on March 24, 2023. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? I Corinthians 15:55. Even though Craig lost the battle, he won the war when he entered eternal life with his Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

Craig was born in Flint, MI on August 6, 1964, the son of Joseph and Marilyn (Pettus) Mechura. He was a 1982 graduate of Kearsley High School and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from ITT Technical Institute. He lived most of his adult life in Ohio, but resided in Davison the last several years.

Craig enjoyed the simple things in life like hanging out with friends and family. He loved watching old movies, going for long walks, and watching just about every sport. He loved watching the Detroit Red Wings, but most of all his Michigan Wolverines. He could always make anybody laugh with his sharp wit, and quick comebacks.

Surviving are mother Marilyn Mechura, and two sons: Nico (Brianna) Mechura, and Hunter Mechura. He also leaves his loving sister Dana (Mike) Fitzgerald, and special friends Frank, Garrett, Kevin, Tony, and brother in law Mike.

Craig is preceded in death by his father Joseph Mechura in 2017, and cousins Mike P., Kandi, and Lori. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions in Craig's memory to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.
